Felt

Made of pure sheep wool.

Use in Conservation: in the drying process for flat art on paper and sheets that have been leafcast, or as a light weight on top of a humidification sandwich. Felt has great drying properties: dimensional stability, no distortion, slower drying rate compared to other highly absorbent materials. Care must be taken to completely dry the felts after each use.
The black felt felt is a lower grade and a less expensive and very good alternative to our high grade white felt.
